My Journey - How It All Began

Priyanka — AstroTherapist

I did not begin my professional life as an astrologer.

I was an entrepreneur. I was living a completely different life, occupied with business, responsibilities, decisions, and the practical realities that come with building something of your own.

And then life entered a difficult phase.

Sometimes a difficult period does more than challenge you. It makes you question things you had never questioned before. It makes you look beyond what is visible and ask why certain patterns unfold in our lives, why some periods change us completely, and whether there is something deeper behind what we simply call destiny.

Something clicked within me.

I found myself being drawn towards spirituality and Jyotish—not out of curiosity alone, but from a genuine need to understand.

Then came 2009, a year that became a turning point in my life.

That was when I met my Guruji.

Under his guidance, at his ashram, my real journey began. He introduced me to Jyotish and Sadhana, not merely as subjects to be studied, but as disciplines to be lived.

What began as a search for answers slowly became years of learning, observation, spiritual practice, and inner transformation.

My understanding of astrology therefore did not develop only through books or charts. It grew alongside Sadhana. I was taught to understand that Jyotish is not simply about predicting events. It is about understanding Karma, Kaal—the nature of time—and the spiritual lessons hidden within different phases of life.

Over time, I began reading charts and guiding people. With every consultation, I realized that people rarely come to an astrologer merely because they want to know their future. Most come when they are standing at a crossroads—when relationships are struggling, careers are uncertain, finances are disturbed, health concerns have entered the family, or they simply cannot understand why life has suddenly changed.

That changed the way I looked at my responsibility.

I did not want astrology to become a source of fear or dependency. I wanted it to become a means of clarity and preparedness.

My journey also continued deeper into Mantra, Sadhana, Anushthan, and Yantra. These were never separate from my practice of Jyotish; they became part of understanding how spiritual discipline can support a person while they pass through difficult karmic periods.

Years later, after a long period of Sadhana following my initiation, my Guruji gave me permission to prepare Yantras. I consider that permission not an achievement but a responsibility—because sacred knowledge should never become merely a commercial product.

Looking back, I sometimes think about the entrepreneur I once was and the path I walk today.

Perhaps that difficult phase of my life was not there simply to disturb what I had built.

Perhaps it was there to redirect me towards what I was meant to build next.

Today, when someone comes to me during a difficult phase of their own life, I remember where my journey began.

Because sometimes the phase that appears to be breaking your life is quietly introducing you to an entirely different purpose.

That is how astrology entered my life.

Not as a profession I chose, but as a path that gradually chose me.
